Connecting to the Wireless Network with Windows 7

Setting up a Wireless Connection

Click Start >> Control Panel >> Network and Sharing Center

Select Set up a new connection or network.

Select Manually connect to a wireless network and click Next.

A blank form appears:

Fill in the Network name field for the wireless access point near your location (Example: dlink);
Select No Authentication as the Security type.
Select Connect even if the network is not broadcasting.
If desired, select Start this connection automatically.

Click Next.

Click Close to complete the set-up process.

Manual Wireless Connect/Disconnect

If you configured this network connection not to start automatically, click the network connections icon in the taskbar,

click the new wireless connection and click Connect.

To end a wireless connection, click the network connections icon in the taskbar,

select the network and click Disconnect.
